Humans can never fully understand the logic behind creation. It doesn't matter even if it's written in almost all the religious and scientific texts.We are in no position to argue about what or who made us.
Both science and religion has various ways by which the fact "seems to be" established,but
neither contradicts itself if taken in the right sense.
The creationist method can never be discarded just by taking into account a "theory" of big
bang...nevertheless the big bang can never be discarded by just asserting that everything we see around us was created by some form of mythical "something" who neither has a beginning nor an end.
But what we can do, is gather up all the bits and pieces of facts, experiences and experiments, group them together, find the common intersecting points, take them out, evaluate them, and finally have a brief knowledge on what everything means.
Strictly to an enthusiast, whether theologian or a scientist, the basic instinct of humans is curiosity. The embodiment of that curiosity is what we see around us, in the form of books that depict the various ways by which the universe was formed,preserved and even the creation of life itself.
As Albert Einstein once said during a conference (the fifth Solvay Conference in Oct 1927, to be exact) while discussing the initial stages of the emergence of the scientific interest, known as quantum physics,"God does not play dice",while discussing about Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle.
We all know what that meant,and so did the group of scientists who attended the meeting,
including the pioneers in quantum physics,like Neils Bohr ,Erwin Schrodinger,Werner Heisenberg,
Wolfgang Pauli ,Dirac,Max Planc, and Marie Curie to name a few.
As a creationist, one would think, think and over think that line and assert Einstein true,and that line would then be misinterpreted and shared far and beyond as "Einstein proves the existence of God and disproves quantum physics".
But, if it was an evolutionist who heard that - in this scenario,consider an evolutionist as a person who refuses to believe that someone Created the universe out of nothingness - he would have thought of it in an entirely different manner.
Just like what happened in the next moment of the meeting.
Neils Bohr stood up, faced Einstein and pointed out "Einstein, stop telling God what to do".
At first this might sound like a totally "Godly" answer, but if you just think about it from a neutral point, i would rather say, realistic point, of view, you can get the idea.
He neither disproves the existence of God nor did he ruled out the probability of "probabilities".
The exact same thing which resulted in the growth of such a vast field of knowledge and
investigation..the branch of Physics now rules absolutely about everything,
from the small transistors in an average household radio set to the circuits of space ships.
If you believe it or not, something which is NOT supposed to happen, HAPPENS, and
results in a chain of events that results in what is called as quantum tunneling, which in
effect causes some weird phenomena that changes everything around us.
Did the bible or quran or the vedas tell anything about quantum tunneling?
Or in other words, did the brief history of time tell anything about spiritual existence?
I guess "NO" answers both the above questions.
The modern day knowledge has limitations. Doesn't matter if it comes from the highest of religious authorities or from the mouth of the most brilliant scientist out there.
They are not 100% right.
Face the facts.
God, if He was so easy to be understood, shouldn't get the right to be called as "God".
He or It plays in mysterious ways that make everything and everyone dance to the same tune.
Evidence of existence of Godly creatures and places have been identified from places all over the world.From weird markings on temples and churches to even the sunken city of Dwaraka and the Shroud of Turin.
But that doesn't give us the right to establish that the big bang never happened.
Evidences of existence of the Big bang has been found with pin point accuracy from WMAP
satellite readings and by measuring the cosmic background radiation,a.k.a the cosmic music.
The experiments have found out with repeated accuracy from around the world,that the universe is indeed expanding,and everything is moving apart from one another,in agreement with what is being described in
the Bible : Isaiah 40:22 (points out the expanding universe)
Job 37:18
Psalms 104:2
the Quran :
30th verse of sura Al-Anbiya : points to Big Bang
47th verse of Adh-Dhariyat:Expanding Universe
the Vedas : Rig Veda (10:129) Nasadiya Sukta - The Creation.
Simply summing up, we can never fully understand HIM even with all out scientific might and spiritual zeal.
The reason to state that one is better than the other loses its meaning here. For anyone who still believes that science completely overcomes religion or vice versa either has not yet fully understood what his respective field of knowledge teaches or has the utmost might to challenge everything that is put in front of him,with no scope of winning whatsoever.
Keeping all these things in mind, the only thing humans can do is to expand their existing field of knowledge and to find out more about the cosmic and spiritual meaning of the "Whole".
The scientific world is advancing beyond what anyone has imagined before.Within a short amount of time, humans will be able to explore the far reaches of our solar system, and within a few hundreds or thousands of years, humans could even leave the milky way galaxy,and in another million years or so, humans could actually escape from the universe into a parallel dimension
altogether. The possibilities are endless.Science and theoretical proofs of the general relativity doesn't limit humans from doing anything mentioned in the above lines.
The ability to find the "famous" Higg's boson within near future,using the small quantities of energy humans are able to harness at this point of time, slightly gives a hint to the existence of a parallel
universe very close to our own,as quoted by one of the greatest minds of our generation Michio Kaku.
Nothing is far away.
Quantum entanglement and its extensive research could,one day, bring the dream of
teleportation to life. Invisibility, hover boards, space travel, living in an outer planet,everything is within the scope of humanity today.
All of these advancements mean nothing to a saint who meditates all day in an ultimate pursuit to seek enlightenment. The very aim of "enlightenment" or "moksha" or "nirvana" is ultimate peace. The destiny of man has been written the day he is born.
No matter what one does or tries, that destiny shall and will be fulfilled.
People often say "we change our future".
Yes,that is in fact right. But has anyone really thought what "MADE" him think about "changing his/her future"? May be that's scripted like in pro wrestling.
No matter how hard a person hits or punishes the other, the person who is actually "destined to win" always wins.
Similarly if a person is destined to lead a life of fruitful joy, he will ultimately reach there even if he were born in a slum or to a king.
The point behind all these is that, humans are in a path of gaining knowledge.about something mysterious..mythical..about something that no living creature alive today really knows.
May be if we are able to contact a higher species out there in the cosmos, we could gather more intel about the unknown.
How did people even get the idea of creating religions in the first place?
One of the common connecting link between all the persons is the "fear" of something.
It's fear that drives humans to do various actions that they otherwise refuse to do.
Fear of the unknown often ties a string around a person who,from that point onward, acts as a puppet without a puppet master.
So,what about an atheist? Doesn't he have a string too?
Yes, for sure. He is tied to a string that make him refuse the existence of a superior being to whom everyone answers. The notion that makes him "superior" acts as his string.
It is with great joy that I heard the news of Pope Francis's speech,in which he said,and I
quote "When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician,
with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so."
He added “The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict
the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it."
“Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution
requires the creation of beings that evolve.”
Our quest is incomplete.It won't be complete until the day humans or any other species in that sense, finds out the answer to the ultimate riddle.
Quantum Physics even points at the existence of a Mysterious Cosmic Observer that makes
everything go the way it should.
Scientists might be the first ones to reach the point if the String Theory and M-Theory in fact becomes the Theory of Everything.One can never really say.
